Tom Buiocchi

Tom Buiocchi

Chief Executive Officer

Tom Buiocchi joined Drobo after serving as an Executive in Residence at Mohr Davidow Ventures. Prior to Mohr Davidow, Buiocchi held executive-level roles at Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. where he was instrumental in sales and marketing strategies that resulted in significant market share gains and revenue growth from 2003 to 2008. Prior to Brocade, Tom spent more than 20 years in a range of marketing and strategy management positions for leading technology companies, including Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Apex Systems, and Rhapsody.

Tom earned his MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Julian Terry

Julian Terry

Co-Founder & Chief Architect

Julian Terry is a founder of Drobo Corporation and is one of the principal architects for its core technology. Prior to Drobo, Julian was Head of Research at Phoenix Corporation and managed all engineering development and support for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Julian was Head of Engineering at DIP, where he was responsible for the design of the world's first handheld PC compatible computer.

Julian earned his honors degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Bristol, UK.

Jeff Hoever

Jeff Hoever

Vice President of Operations

Jeff brings over 20 years of operational and manufacturing experience to Drobo. Jeff has held senior management and director level positions at companies including Sling Media, Handspring, Solectron, Tapwave, and Lockheed Martin. Most notably Jeff managed global operations for Sling Media and helped grow the business which was acquired by EchoStar in 2007 for $380 million. In his years in operations Jeff estimates that he has shipped well over 1,000,000 products to customers, and managed supply chains totaling over $250 million.

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University.

Danielle Murcray

Chief Financial Officer

Danielle brings over 15 years of finance, accounting and operations experience to Drobo. Previously, Danielle served as Vice President, Corporate Controller at IronPort Systems where she was responsible for building and leading the accounting and sales operations functions, and was instrumental in the $830M acquisition by Cisco Systems in June 2007. Prior to IronPort, she was Corporate Controller at Packeteer, and Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Brio Software until it was acquired by Hyperion Solutions. Danielle started her career in the Silicon Valley office of Arthur Andersen.

Danielle earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington.

Philippe Cazaubon

Philippe Cazaubon

Sr. Director, APAC Sales

Philippe is responsible for channel development and driving sales growth for Drobo's products in the Asia Pacific region. Philippe brings over 15 years of sales experience in the IT industry, and most recently served as Vice President of APAC for RateIntegration. Prior to RII, he was VP, APAC at Overland Storage where he grew the business from start up to a multi-million dollar operation. Philippe has also held senior sales management positions at HM Electronics and Frimeda.

David Bangs

David Bangs

Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

David Bangs joins Drobo from HP, where he led the HP StorageWorks sales organization, focused on emerging growth accounts in the mid-market. David was VP of worldwide sales at LeftHand Networks, an innovator and leader in the iSCSI SAN market, where he built and led the sales organization from initial shipments to more than 5,000 customer wins and the company's acquisition by HP in November 2008. Prior to LeftHand Networks, David served in sales leadership roles at Quantum, Control Data, and Toshiba.

David earned his BA (Honors) in Business from South Bank University, London, England.

Mark Herbert

Mark Herbert

Senior Vice President of Engineering

Mark Herbert provides over 20 years of experience in engineering management and system development. Mark was recently with Cradle Technologies as VP of System Engineering leading teams in both US and India developing world-class Multiprocessor DSP solutions and applications. Prior to Cradle, Mark was an early member of Redback Networks as Director of SMS Hardware Development leading the team through the Internet build-out and IPO.

Mark earned his BSEE degree from University of Illinois and an MS in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University.

Sonya Andreae

Sonya Andreae

Vice President of Customer Experience

Sonya brings over 20 years of experience creating and managing worldwide customer service organizations to Drobo. Sonya previously held senior-level support positions at Apple, TiVo, and Packeteer. During her tenure at Packeteer, Sonya managed a worldwide organization to support international enterprise customers and partners. She also provided next business day sparing in 88 countries and launched a technical training certification program. While at TiVo, she managed a support organization with over 400 agents handling 1.5 million calls annually from consumers.

Sonya earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Michigan State University.

Marcus Thompson

Marcus Thompson

Sr. Director, EMEA Sales

Marcus joined Drobo from HP, where he was responsible for the HP UK StorageWorks partner channel. Prior to HP, he was the first full-time employee at LeftHand Networks and built the EMEA channel and associated sales, support, and marketing infrastructure over a four-year period. With a solid storage industry background, Marcus has held pan-European channel sales roles at Digital, Eurologic, DataCore, and Exabyte. At Drobo, Marcus has a particular focus on building out the Drobo channel to ensure success of the business product line.
